This year six students competed and all speeches were well presented and thoughtfully written. First place went to Seth Gousmett, who spoke confidently on thinking about our future careers. Second went to Emily White who was very passionate about voting rights for young people. Third was Jenna Otway, who surprised everyone in her passionate critique of Orewa College. Well done also to first time entrant Abriella Scowen for her enlightening and enjoyable speech comparing books to movies.
