Staff are consistently developing professionally in order to support students to achieve their full potential. Our focus is on preparing students for their future by helping to develop responsible, independent, confident, proud, well-balanced and motivated young adults.
Orewa College students have achieved highly across academic, sporting, arts and community fields of endeavour. Many have strived for, and attained, regional and national representation honours.
Our strong and established values programme, Manaaki Orewa, “respect for yourself, respect for others and respect for the environment" is incorporated in all aspects of school life. Our learning programme, Ako Orewa, ensures that students are on personalised pathways.
The House System is a strong, long running, successful programme which links all students from Year 7 through to Year 13. House events run throughout the year and provide opportunities for friendly competition and many leadership opportunities.
