Itinerant music lessons are generally 30 minute lessons in groups of 3 or 4 students, depending on the instrument. Lessons are offered during school time on the following instruments:
Students receiving Itinerant music lessons are expected to:
$280 per year ($70 per term) - Free for Year 7 / 8 band members
|Year 11 – 13||$360 per year ($90 per term)|
This amounts to 35 lessons a year and fees can be paid annually or termly.
Note for new Year 7 students
All Year 7 students will be tested for their potential music aptitude (natural ability) and those who show particular talent will be offered a place in the Year 7 band where lesson fees are removed but there is an agreement to play in the band for 2 years minimum.
Registering for Music Lessons
Sign-up here as soon as you can : Itinerant Music Registration Form
This registration process needs to be done each year, even if students have previously received lessons in school, as part of the itinerant music scheme. Completed forms will be collated by our department to place students. You will not be allocated lessons if you don’t register.
Placements are awarded to students on a first come first served basis.
Should a student wish to terminate their lessons, they are required to email email@example.com and lessons and payment will terminate at the end of that term.
End of Year Reports
Reports will only be supplied to students by their itinerant music teacher if they have successfully completed all 4 terms with them.
Music Information Evening Term 1
There is also a Music Information evening in February where new students will have the opportunity to find out more about the instruments we offer and register for lessons.
