What is the Enviro-Group?

The Ōrewa College Enviro-Group is a dedicated team committed to protecting and preserving our environment. Guided by the principles of the Enviroschools programme, we strive to embed sustainability into everything we do.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

In 2021, Ōrewa College officially became an Enviroschool—a milestone reflecting our collective promise to care for Papatūānuku (Mother Earth). The signing of the Enviroschools document by our principal, teacher, student, and Board of Trustees member symbolized this shared dedication.

What We Do 🌍

• Environmental Initiatives: Organising clean-up events, waste reduction projects, and native tree planting.
• Education for Sustainability: Inspiring students to lead eco-friendly lifestyles and make thoughtful choices.
• Community Involvement: Collaborating with local organisations to promote environmental awareness.
