At the end of last week, the Orewa College Concert Band competed at the National Band and Solo Competition in Napier. They competed with bands of various experiences, not only other secondary schools (eg Auckland University Concert Band)

One of the judges commented on how "exceptional" it was that Orewa College was playing with such a wide dynamic of contrasts.

Orewa College Concert Band received a Bronze Award in the competition, well done.
