As part of the NZ Experience study our International students learn about conservation in New Zealand. On 10 June 14 International students went to a farm that has been converted to a native forest. They all volunteered their time and the main tasks for the day was for the students to trim back vegetation that was growing over the walking tracks as well as loading up the ute with wood pieces left from the build of a viewing platform and pile them up in the car park for disposal. It was hard work but they all enjoyed helping out and knowing that they have contributed to conserving native wildlife in NZ.
