International Students - NZ Experience

On Tuesday our NZ Experience class visited Kelly Tarlton's in the morning and then making the most of the glorious sunshine we had lunch up at Bastion Point and enjoyed a walk down to Mission Bay beach and along the waterfront. Many of our International Students are here for only a short time to experience New Zealand and therefore do not sit the NCEA grading exams. Instead we go exploring spots in Auckland. On Wednesday we visited the Auckland museum which tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people.Thursday's trip was to Tree Adventures and the Parakai Hot Pools and on Friday a planting day on the sand dunes at Te Haruhi Beach, Shakespeare Regional Park. It was great to see the students learning about our sealife, our history and challenging themselves on the High Ropes. It was awesome that they could "give back" with the conservation of the sand dunes.Check out their work when you are next at the Park.
