Year 9 students have shown fantastic self-management and creativity skills as part of their huge independent learning project. They have been exploring the novel Divergent and they applied DesignThinking to make up their own 'faction' (a sort of tribe). After completing a challenging analysis and writing work, students worked in teams, applying their understanding of the ideas in the novel to 'world-build'. They created cities, cultures, economies and laws, using Minecraft, art, film and 3D models to help convey their ideas. Mrs Wilding is very happy at the wonderful effort and detailed ideas that the class has shown.
