The Gateway programme has had some notable successes in 2019. Logan Anderson gained an apprenticeship at Phoenix Engineering, Brodie Taylor has been accepted into Otiwhiti Station Land Based Training Agricultural School, Ryan Kaminer is trialing for a plumbing apprenticeship (organised through Chesters Plumbing) and Tracy Aldworth has gained an apprenticeship at Bella Kitchens & Cabinetry continuing her placement this term and Oliver Hertzke has an apprenticeship at Pyramid Engineering.

Our programme relies on the generosity and good will of many of our local businesses. We are indebted to these people who put time and energy into mentoring and motivating our young people. It is exciting to see some of our ex Orewa College students offer to have our Gateway students in their businesses, the ultimate pay back.
