A huge congratulations to Year 10 student Levi Gear who is now the National Champion, finishing 1st in the Under 16 Boys Cycling NZ Schools Mountain Bike Cross Country Nationals competition held in Christchurch.

A huge congratulations to Year 10 student Levi Gear who is now the National Champion, finishing 1st in the Under 16 Boys Cycling NZ Schools Mountain Bike Cross Country Nationals competition held in Christchurch.

An amazing effort and a result that adds to what has been an outstanding season for Levi. If you head over to sport_orewa on Instagram, you will be able to see a video that Levi created to celebrate the success.


Squash Sporting Success - Yusra Rashid

Year 8 student Yusra Rashid, has defended the title she won last year by winning the Squash New Zealand Junior Age group Championships in the Under 13 girls.

It is an awesome achievement for Yusra who has had a hugely successful year.

Congratulations, well done.


JKS Karate-Do World Championships, Tokyo

Congratulations to Year 11 student Nick Nguyen who was selected to compete at the JKS Karate-Do World Championships in Tokyo in July this year, where he earned a place in the Final 16.

Nick competes out of JKS North Shore which is run at Orewa College, where he also helps coach the newest generation of Karate practitioners.

Well done, Nick - we hope to hear more about your successes in 2025.
