Orewa College has a proud history of producing excellent educational outcomes since its establishment in 1956. Nestled in the vibrant Hibiscus Coast, our campus offers a unique educational experience, enhanced by easy access to local beaches, regional parks and the Auckland CBD.
Historically, the college has consistently achieved highly across academic, sporting, arts and leadership areas, with many students attaining regional and national representational honours.
While Orewa College is a large school, we pride ourselves on maintaining the warmth and family-like qualities of a smaller community. Our Middle School (Years 7 and 8) provides a seamless and supportive transition into the Senior School, ensuring continuity of learning and care.
Central to life at Orewa College is our House System, a long-standing tradition that connects students from Year 7 through to Year 13. Through house events and friendly competition, the House System strengthens leadership, pride and a strong sense of belonging.
It is an absolute privilege and honour to be the fifth principal of Orewa College. As an alumnus of this school, a member of this community, and he uri o tēnei whenua, I take great pride and responsibility in seeking to provide outstanding opportunities for our rangatahi.
We are proud of our students and staff, and we warmly welcome parents and caregivers to become part of our school community. Your involvement is valued, and I encourage you to contact the school if you have any concerns or questions about your child’s education.
