At Orewa College, we provide inclusive and responsive learning support so every student can thrive.

Our Learning Support Centre is committed to creating an inclusive and supported learning environment for all students. We work collaboratively across the school to ensure learners can access the support they need in ways that are appropriate, effective, and respectful of individual strengths.

Inclusive learning support

Supporting students within the school community

Students with specific Ministry of Education funding, such as Ongoing Resourcing Scheme funding, are included in suitable mainstream classes to enhance their learning, confidence, and social skills. Where required, students may also access comprehensive literacy, mathematics, and project based learning programmes within the Learning Support Centre. All students, regardless of specific funding, can be supported as much as possible according to their academic and diverse learning needs.

Programmes and support

Specialist services and initiatives
