Free, Community Open Day
In 2026, Orewa College celebrates 70 years of learning, friendship and community on the Hibiscus Coast. Since 1956, generations of students have walked through our gates, and this year, we're inviting our whole community, past and present, to celebrate the journey with us.
To mark the milestone, we're hosting two special events in August 2026: an intimate morning tea for our foundation generation, and a big, free community open day for everyone.
What's On
OC70 is a free, family-friendly celebration bringing together the Hibiscus Coast and the Orewa College whānau for one unforgettable day.
- School Tours: See how Orewa College has grown.
- Nostalgia & Photo Exhibition: A walk through our 70-year timeline.
- Market Stalls: Student art, community groups, and local stallholders.
- Food Trucks: A delicious line-up of food.
- Sport: Games and matches across our fields and courts.
- Live Performances: Dance, music, kapa haka, and Pasifika groups.
