Step into a world where logic meets creativity, and discover how maths opens doors to endless possibilities.

Years 7 and 8

Building strong foundations across number measurement geometry algebra and statistics

In Years 7 and 8 Mathematics, students develop skills across number, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, and probability, building a strong foundation that supports learning in subjects such as Science. Students begin by strengthening core skills before moving on to more challenging concepts, with support to fill any gaps and extension provided for those ready to progress further.

Through exploring patterns, solving problems, and making connections to real-world situations, students learn to communicate their thinking using reasoning and evidence. Collaborative and independent tasks help build confidence, encourage curiosity, and develop critical thinking as students take increasing responsibility for their learning.
