Year 7 Course Information on Schoolpoint

The home room teacher is responsible for much of the curriculum in the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Health & Physical Education, Social Studies, Education Outside the Classroom.

Students receive specialist teaching in:

• Arts - Dance/Drama, Music and Visual Arts 
• Language – Te Reo Maori, Mandarin and Japanese
• Design Technology - Over one Semester, in one combined subject, students will be introduced to electronics, textiles, 3D-printing, laser cutting, modelling and technical drawings.

Year 8 Course Information on Schoolpoint

Year 8 students continue to be taught core subjects in home room classes.  In addition, they are given a semester in each of the following specialist areas:

• Arts - Dance/Drama, Music
• Visual Arts 
• Language – Te Reo Māori and Chinese
• Technology

A highlight of the year is the range of trips, including visits to the Maritime Museum, Te Herenga Waka o Orewa, Sky School, and the three-night Motutapu Island trip.
