The Bayleys Ōrewa Beach Fun Run 2026 Returns in 2026

Lace up and hit the sand for a fun, sandy morning at beautiful Ōrewa Beach. Join us on Saturday 5 December 2026 from 9:00am for a community fun run where every dollar raised goes towards Orewa College. Walk it, jog it, or run it, everyone is welcome.

Event details

  • Date: Saturday 5 December 2026
  • Time: 9:00am start, with the event finishing around 11:00am
  • Location: Orewa Beach, starting and finishing near the Ōrewa Surf Lifesaving Club
  • Distances: 2.5km and 5km
  • Who it is for: Everyone, with walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages and fitness levels welcome
  • Fundraising: 100% of proceeds go directly to Orewa College

Choose Your Distance

  • 2.5km is ideal for beginners, families, and those easing into it
  • 5km is a great challenge for more confident runners

Both distances head along the beach to the southern end before returning to the finish chute, where every participant collects a finisher medal.

  • A warm welcome and kapa haka from Orewa College
  • Spot prizes throughout the morning
  • A sausage sizzle run by our Duke of Edinburgh students
  • Food stalls and pop-up stands
  • A finisher medal for every participant

This is a relaxed, inclusive event, so there is no overall prize giving. Full results will be available on the event website afterwards.

  • This is a zero-waste event. Please bring your own filled water bottle, with a water refill station available on site
  • Please take all rubbish home with you
  • To keep everyone safe and comfortable, please leave dogs at home for this event

Where does the money go?
Every dollar raised goes towards Orewa College's new COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area)
