Squash
Squash is a sport that has a rich history at Orewa College. We are currently rebuilding our player base, and hope to once again be amongst the region's best.

Year 7 - 13 Students

School squash offers students an exciting opportunity to stay active and develop teamwork. Whether you're a seasoned player or just getting started, school squash provides a fun and engaging way to stay fit while honing your skills on the court.

Teams are entered into the Auckland College sport competitions..

There are also opportunities for teams to participate in both Auckland and New Zealand championships. This is contingent on the ability of the team and at the discretion of the teacher in charge.

We have a relationship with Red Beach and Silverdale clubs.  This provides us with the opportunity for our students to develop their skills further.

Registration/Fees

This sport is played in Terms 2 and 3 and we usually have about 12 games.

Equipment

Students need to provide their own racquets and goggles.

Uniform Requirements

Orewa College squash shirt’s are provided by the school for all teams. Orewa College shorts and socks are available for purchase from the Sports Department and players are required to have their own non-marking shoes. Please pay at accounts and take your receipt to the Sport Department to collect.

Transport

School vans can be used as transport to and from home and away games as well as parent help.

Red Beach Squash is home venue. Other games played at various squash clubs in the Auckland region
