Orewa College mountain bikers earned seven podium finishes at the Auckland Schools Shreddah Funduro at Riverhead.
Seven riders place across four and six stage categories at Riverhead Mountain Bike Park
Riverhead Mountain Bike Park hosted the Auckland Schools Shreddah Funduro on Sunday 15 February, where Orewa College riders opened their mountain biking season with strong results.
Seven students secured podium finishes across the four and six stage categories.
In the four stage competition, Corban Shriane placed first in Under 13 Boys, Campbell Shriane finished third in Under 14 Boys, Taylah Hadley placed third in Under 14 Girls, and Tristan Steyn claimed first in Under 15 Boys.
In the six stage category, Logan Marshall earned first in Under 14 Boys, Kyron Sams placed third in Under 15 Boys, and Ashleigh Lloyd-Read secured second in Under 15 Girls.
A total of 16 Orewa College students competed on the day, representing the school across multiple age groups and categories. Riders who also competed included Denin Cotteral, Lucas Gibbons, Hunter Hadley, Maxwell Light, Xander Love, Leo Neal, Carter Pemberton, Johnny Stil, and Mason Pyke.
The results mark a positive start to the season, with strong participation and podium finishes across the team.
