Dance Quest was a hit, with houses performing pieces built around one theme, Out of Time. Blake took out the win, followed by Batten, Sheppard, McLaren, and Nepia.

Blake’s performance followed a dancer who feels out of sync with everyone around her, then learns she does not need to move at the same pace as others. “Feeling out of time doesn’t mean you’re behind... it just means your story is different" said their choreographer.

Batten placed second with a Stranger Things inspired piece, using fast, sharp movement to embody urgency as the clock ticks down. “Time doesn’t heal anything. It only hides it.”

Sheppard placed third with a journey through decades, following a character rushing late for school who steps through different eras before returning just in time. “Our Dance Quest performance takes you on a journey through the decades.”

McLaren placed fourth with a Squid Game concept exploring survival under strict time limits and the pressure of time slipping away. “What would you do if time was the only thing standing between you and survival?” Nepia placed fifth with an Alice in Wonderland reimagining, following the White Rabbit in a race against the clock. “Will he make it in time, or is he already out of time?”
