Four-day championship highlights commitment, sportsmanship, and a lasting legacy.

The Orewa College Senior Water Polo Team concluded their 2026 season at the North Island Secondary Schools Championships, held in Auckland from 21 to 24 March. Across four days of competition, the team faced strong opposition. Regardless of results, they maintained their focus, competing for every ball and every quarter through to the final whistle.

Their resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship were evident throughout the tournament. The group consistently demonstrated pride in representing their school, supporting one another, and approaching each match with determination.

A special acknowledgement goes to Caleb McAulay, who played his final game for Orewa College. Having been involved in the programme since Year 7, Caleb has also contributed as a coach for younger teams. His leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact on the water polo community at Orewa College.
