Student exchanges with Japanese partner schools continue across multiple year levels.
Orewa College continues to strengthen its international partnerships with Japan through a number of student exchanges and scholarships in 2026. In Week 10 assemblies, several students will be acknowledged before departing on exchange. Year 11 students Sienna Brink and Fekla Martusheff will travel to Kun’ei High School in Osaka during the April holidays, returning in December.
At the same time, Orewa College will host visiting students Mei Tamagawa and Hino Kitamura from Kun’ei High School.
Year 12 student Noah Douglas-Brown will attend Hosei Daini High School in Kawasaki for Term 2, alongside visiting students Tsukasa Yoshikawa and Nayuka Kuroiwa. Seth Heke will represent Auckland City at Fukuoka Daiichi High School as part of the 40-year Sister City relationship.
Year 13 student Nayana Tauvale-Moore will also attend Hosei Daini High School during Term 2.
These exchanges provide valuable opportunities for cultural learning, language development, and strengthening international connections within the Orewa College community.
