Celebrating Outstanding Achievement at Year 10 Graduation

Year 10 ākonga celebrated their graduation at the OAEC with performances by the Junior Jazz Band and special awards recognizing excellence and growth.

Outstanding learners across service, leadership and academic achievement celebrated at the our 2025 Year 10 Graduation.

After a wild downpour and surface flooding around Ōrewa, the Year 10 Graduation carried on in true Orewa College spirit, undaunted. Held in the OAEC, the ceremony honoured the achievements of our Year 10 ākonga, with moving performances by the Junior Jazz Band and a stirring rendition of Stand Up by Evangeline Ulugia.

Whānau and staff gathered to celebrate and acknowledge growth in all its forms. Special awards recognised ākonga across service, leadership, and academic progress. Congratulations to Pranav Khubchandani and Clare Liu (Endeavour Award, Duke of Edinburgh), Fekla Martusheff and Sienna Brink (Kun-ei High School Scholarship), Shanaye Everleigh (Kev Cup for Contribution to the Community), Felix Love (Manaaki Orewa Award), Julius Chivell (Ako Orewa Award for Most Improved) and Daneigh Erasmus (Principal's Award for All Round Excellence).

The Mātauranga Award was awarded to Raina Baek for her exceptional academic achievement.

As Tumuaki Wiri Warriner reminded us, these milestones matter, they shape the future leaders of our kura and our community.
