New hockey gear enhances student experience on the hockey turf

Orewa College is thrilled to announce the recent purchase of new hockey goalie gear, made possible through the generous support of a Blue Sky Community Trust grant. This gear will significantly benefit our students, ensuring they have access to high-quality equipment during their training and matches. 

Edith Miller, our Sports Director, expressed gratitude for the support: “We are so appreciative of the support from Blue Sky Community Trust which has allowed us to purchase new hockey goalie gear. Many students will benefit from using this gear over many years.” The new gear will be put to use on the hockey turf, enhancing the playing experience for our ākonga. With the addition of this equipment, we aim to foster a supportive environment for all our hockey players.
