Shadowtech Careers Exploration at AoFrio opens eyes to diverse roles in tech

Ten of our Year 10 and 11 ākonga spent the day at AoFrio on August 18, diving into the world of technology through the Shadowtech Careers Exploration programme.

Hosted by AoFrio, a leading tech company, the visit gave students the chance to connect with professionals across a wide range of roles. From marketing and data analysis to software testing and UI design, the day showed that careers in tech go well beyond coding.

Students listened to personal stories from staff, many of whom shared how their career paths had taken unexpected turns. For our ākonga, it was a reassuring reminder that it’s okay not to have everything mapped out.
