Our musicians enjoy a special afternoon with the Auckland Town Hall

Orewa College extends heartfelt congratulations to the students who took part in this special musical event alongside the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Under the baton of Conductor David Kay and with choral direction by Vanessa Kay, the performance featured moving selections including Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture and Beethoven’s Hallelujah from Christ on the Mount of Olives, performed with choir.

It was yet again another lovely afternoon where musicians of all ages came together in harmony to share their love of music.

The kura is incredibly proud of these ākonga for the dedication, hard work, and passion they brought to the stage. Their contribution to such a prestigious event is a testament to their talent and commitment.

Participating students were Santhiya Vasanth (flute), Sanjana Vasanth (trumpet), Miguel Duting (1st violin), and Enia Jaramillo (French horn).
