At just 13 years old, student Zoe Corke will showcase her award-winning design at Walk the Line during NZ Fashion Week.

Year 8 student to present her sustainable design on the national runway

Year 8 ākonga Zoe Corke has been selected to take part in Walk the Line, New Zealand Fashion Week’s premier youth runway show. At just 13, Zoe will present her award-winning piece All Tied Up at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre on 30 August.

Zoe’s design, which won first place in the recent Orewa College Wearable Arts competition, is a striking statement of her passion for sustainable fashion. Her use of upcycled and repurposed materials caught the eye of the Walk the Line selection panel, who choose only a small number of entrants each year from across Aotearoa.

Walk the Line is a high-profile opportunity for young designers aged 13 to 18 to showcase their talent at a national level.
