Orewa College places third in the ShowQuest National Finals 2025 and wins multiple national awards.

Orewa College takes home third place at the national ShowQuest finals

A huge congratulations to Orewa College for taking home third place in the ShowQuest National Finals. This is a digital event where schools from all over the country that placed first in their regional event had videos of their performance judged against one another.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work, creativity and talent of our Orewa College ShowQuest team.

Alongside this, Orewa College won national awards for:

• excellence in soundtrack

• recognition in drama

• recognition in lighting design

And a huge paki paki to Lachlan Buckley for winning the Senior Whetū Rangatahi Award (Star of the Show). This award means that Lachlan was recognised nationally for being the most outstanding performer in ShowQuest 2025.

These were all very well deserved awards, and OC clearly has a rising star on our hands.
