Three Orewa College Senior Open Debating teams are finalists in the Auckland Schools Debating competition.

Three teams through to finals in one of the country’s toughest debating comps

Our Senior Open Debating teams are proving themselves on the big stage, with three teams making the finals of the Auckland Schools Debating competition. That puts them in the top 10% across Tāmaki Makaurau, a huge achievement in one of Aotearoa’s most competitive regions.

Congratulations to Mia Che, May Gardiner, Christine Cooke, Lucy Kheng, Kate Yu, Eden Macbeth, Evie Newman, Rochelle Kumar, Ada Luxford and Eli Cunliffe for earning their place.

A special mention to Rochelle, Ada and Eli, who topped the Auckland rounds and head into finals as the number one ranked team.
