Year 8 student helps take out the final for Tupuarangi U16s in Counties Manukau

Year 8 Student Eva Kopa had a weekend to remember, taking the field for the Tupuarangi U16 team at the 2025 Matariki Hockey 5’s tournament held on Friday 20 June in Counties Manukau.

The tournament brought together youth teams to celebrate Matariki through sport, and Eva’s team, part of the Wahine Youth programme, played four tough games across the day.

Tupuarangi pushed through to the final and came out on top, securing the win and lifting the trophy.
