Proud First Showing at NDC for Our Dance Crews

Our OsCillations and OsmiC dance teams placed 3rd and 6th at NDC dance comp at Westlake Girls on 13 June.

OsCillations and OsmiC dance crews earn top placings in tough dance categories

Following their impressive performances at Showquest, Orewa College's senior dance crews continued their strong season at the NDC inter-school competition on 13 June.

Held at Westlake Girls, the event featured over 15 entries per category but both Orewa College teams held their own.

OsCillations, our senior jazz team choreographed by Lachlan Buckley, danced their way to 3rd place in the Secondary School Jazz Team section. It was their first competition of the year, and a fantastic result in a highly competitive field.

OsmiC, the kura’s hip hop mega crew choreographed by Travis Lightband, placed 6th in the Secondary School Hip Hop category.

This was OC’s first time entering the NDC event, making the placings even more special. It’s great to see our ākonga continuing to grow their skills and represent our kura with pride.
