Third Consecutive Win for Orewa Athlete Charlie Theron

Charlie Theron, 16, wins third straight match at NZ's top MMA event, showing athletic skill and focus.

Three weekend victories showcase 16-year-old Charlie’s skill, strategy, and stamina

Sixteen-year-old Charlie Theron has just earned his third consecutive weekend victory, performing strongly at Shuriken Fight Series 21: Aotearoa’s leading mixed martial arts event.

Competing against an older opponent known for his striking ability, Charlie stayed calm and stuck to his strategy. After weathering early pressure, he took control in the final round with a well-executed move on the ground that secured the win.

This latest success follows a decision win in kickboxing and another MMA result the weekend prior. Alongside his debut win earlier this year, Charlie now holds three consecutive wins, each one showing his versatility, technical ability, and determination.

Charlie has trained since the age of seven at Ochiba in Orewa, under the guidance of coach Al Polkinhorne. His achievements in the ring continue to impress those around him.
