Year 7 & 8 Water Polo team finishes strong at WinterFest Water Polo Tournament in Auckland.

Orewa College’s Year 7 and 8 A Water Polo team made a splash at the WinterFest Tournament, hosted by Water Polo NZ, with an impressive performance over four intense days.

They played eight games, winning three, drawing one, and narrowly losing four, earning second place in their pool. From last year’s 16th place in C Grade to 7th in B Grade this year, the leap was one of the biggest improvements in the tournament.

Opposition coaches praised them as “one of the toughest and most respectful teams” a reputation earned through hard mahi. They've now secured a place in the B Grade of North Harbour's weekly competition, ready to keep building on their momentum.
