100 Days to Go: Year 13 Students Celebrate a Key Milestone

With 100 days left of their high school journey, Orewa College’s Year 13 students came together to mark the countdown to graduation.

Held outside the library on a sunny winter’s day, the 100 Days Celebration offered a moment to reflect and enjoy time with friends over kai on a sizzling BBQ.

Principal Wiri Warriner acknowledged the milestone, encouraging students to be proud of their journey so far and to stay focused on what lies ahead. He reminded them that Year 13s do not "leave Orewa College" but become our alumni.

For many, the day brought a mix of nostalgia and excitement. “It’s a reminder that the end is near but also a new beginning,” one student said.

The event builds on last year’s 50-day celebration, providing students with a meaningful way to mark their final months at kura.

As the countdown continues, Orewa College remains committed to supporting its Year 13s to finish strong and step confidently into their next chapter.
