Orewa College's Year 7 football team placed 4th at the North Harbour Intermediate Schools Zone Day, showing exceptional teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.

Year 7 Football Team Strong Showing at North Harbour Zone Day

Orewa College’s Year 7 football team delivered an impressive performance at the North Harbour Intermediate Schools Zone Day, held at Rosedale Park on Tuesday 13 May.

• Competed against 16 other schools

• Played six matches across the day

• Finished 4th overall

• Demonstrated teamwork, whanaungatanga, and skill

The team played with determination and supported each other through every challenge on the field.

Their efforts were guided on the day by senior students Will Harold and Josh Lysaght, who took on coaching and mentoring roles. Their leadership helped keep the team focused and encouraged strong communication and teamwork.

In the weeks before the event, the team was coached by Fynn Henoch and Anton Stein, whose preparation and support were instrumental in the team’s strong performance.
