Talent on Show at Orewa College

Our 2025 Talent Quest lit up the stage with energy, creativity and community spirit. This annual event is more than just a performance night, it’s a vital fundraiser to support our students as they prepare to represent Orewa College at Showquest this June.

Students showcased an impressive range of talents, from soulful vocal solos and contemporary dance to original live loop compositions. Performers had the chance to express themselves on stage in front of a packed audience of friends, whānau, fellow students and staff.

This year’s winners were:

• 1st Place: Evangeline Ulugia

• 2nd Place: Lachlan Buckley

• 3rd Place: Wombo Combo

Two performers also received special recognition as Highly Commended: Stella Bavister and William Fairburn.

Funds raised on the night will directly support our performing arts students attending Showquest, a national performing arts competition celebrating youth creativity and storytelling through music, dance and theatre.

We’re incredibly proud of our performers. Talent Quest is about celebrating our students while supporting the bigger kaupapa of getting our performers to Showquest. Every year, the bar gets higher.
