Extreme Tug: House Competition Ends the Term with a Roar
To cap off an epic term of house competition, we wrapped things up with the always intense and crowd-favourite event — Extreme Tug.
Spread over three lunchtimes, each year group battled it out in the ultimate test of teamwork, strength, and house spirit. The competition was fierce, and the energy on the field was electric.
Results by Year Group:
Year 7 & 8: Sheppard dominated with teamwork and strength.
Year 9 & 10: McLaren showed great grit to take the win.
Seniors (Year 11–13): An epic three-way tie between McLaren, Sheppard, and Batten.
What Made This Event Special
What made this event special was the way students from every house turned up to tautoko their teams, creating a powerful sense of unity and school spirit. The energy on the field was electric, with cheers and encouragement echoing across the school grounds. Senior students gave it everything they had in the final round, resulting in a rare and exciting three-way tie that showed just how evenly matched our houses are.
“It was loud, intense, and packed with house pride. A great way to finish the term,” said Joel Dickinson, Our House Leader.
