Outstanding Results at Auckland Schools Athletics Championships

Orewa College athletes put their best foot forward at the Auckland Schools Athletics Championships last week, competing against top athletes from across the region. Over two days at Mount Smart Stadium, 12 of our students gave it their all, achieving incredible results.

Standout Performances

• Isabella Pickering – 2nd place in 3000m, 3rd place in 1500m

• Anika Pihema – 2nd place in Javelin

• Brian Wilson – 1st place in Para Discus & Para Shot Put

These achievements meant that Isabella and Brian were selected to represent the North Harbour Secondary Schools team at the North Island Secondary Schools Athletics Championships in Hamilton this April. Isabella competed in the 1500m and 3000m events, while Brian took part in the Para Discus and Shot Put.
