AIMS Games - Orewa College

The Zespri AIMS Games are held in Tauranga in Term 3 every year for Year 7 & 8 students, giving them the opportunity to compete either as an individual or in a team sport against 395 National and International Intermediate Schools in over 27 sporting codes.

With a record number of students competing each year AIMS has become one of the biggest sporting events in New Zealand and Australasia giving students the opportunity to showcase their talents against their own peers in Years 7&8. Our AIMS team relies heavily on volunteer coaches and managers to help facilitate teams heading down to AIMS with the guidance of the Sports Department with student participation also dependent on Attendance and Behaviour.

This will consist of fundraising, trials, training, pre AIMS tournaments and any other events the students participating, managers and coaches will need to commit to in the lead up to and during the AIMS games so it is essential that students and parents read through all the information before starting the expression of interest process.
