Where to Next for Our Taipari Rumaki Reo Programme?

As the kura looks ahead to the next stage of Taipari, its Rumaki Reo Māori pathway, Orewa College will welcome whānau into the conversation on Tuesday 4 August.

Following the launch of Taipari for Years 7–8 earlier this year, the evening will outline plans to extend the Māori-medium pathway through to senior school, creating a connected journey from Year 7 to Year 13.

Head of Department Haimona Koziarski says the pathway is designed to help rangatahi “stand strong in tikanga and te reo Māori, walk confidently in both te ao Māori and te ao whānui, lead with mana, and understand their role as kaitiaki of people, place, and future.”

Whānau will have the chance to ask pātai, share aspirations for ākonga, and kōrero with staff about the next steps for Taipari.
