Orewa College senior ESOL students step out of the classroom and into the world of tourism, using language and teamwork on a fun, hands-on trip to Game Over.
Language, Teamwork, and Tourism in Action
At Orewa College, we believe learning should be lived and our senior ESOL students did just that with a recent trip to Game Over.
Part of their Tourism unit, the experience gave students a chance to use English in real-world situations, from laser tag and mini golf to group activities that built communication and teamwork.
The trip wasn’t just fun. It was a real step forward in learning. Students connected across cultures, supported each other, and used English in meaningful ways.
Back in class, students are now writing travel blogs, turning their experiences into stories that show how language can inspire and connect.
