In early March, All Black Sam Cane and friends visited Orewa College to spread the message regarding the latest trends in the treatment of concussion. Our rugby players from all grades learned the 4 R’s of Recognise, Remove, Recover, and Return. Sam related his own personal experience of concussion and how his and many others attitudes had changed over time to where players, coaches and management are very aware of the dangers of concussion and the latest methods of ensuring a complete recovery. Sam then took a variety of questions regarding life both in and away from the All Blacks before a long line of autographs and selfies ensued.
