On Thursday 6 May, 42 enthusiastic Year 7 & 8 students travelled to Long Bay Regional Park to participate in the annual Orienteering Zone Day.
For most of the students, this was their first time experiencing the sport. With a little training before the race began, they soon got comfortable reading a map and following the clues to find each marker.
All students showed great Manaaki and sportsmanship throughout and are all eager to come back again to next year’s Zone Day or join the school Orienteering Club and participate in some after school events in Term 1 next year. Thank you to the parents who helped with transportation.
