'It took us almost 2 hours to the top. The walkway was a lava field and we saw quite big lava rocks. On the way to the top we could see Manuka trees, native birds and Pohutukawa trees. We went through a lava cave. The cave was formed by a lava bomb when Rangitoto erupted. The view from the top was awesome. I really enjoyed this trip. I could feel the wonderful nature and I enjoyed talking with my friends and teachers.'
