Centrestage Youth Theatre took out the award for Best Youth Musical 2018 with Grease. Many Orewa College students (past and present) were a part of this production. Geena Hutton played Sandy, Caleb Jamieson played Danny, Kaelin Wade played Roger, Nicole Wilson played Frenchie, Jackson Howes played Sonny, Lisa Camelbeke played Patty, Madison Wade played Miss Lynch. Hollie Powderley, Maxwell Hutton, and Grace Hilliam were in the ensemble. Billie Hart was the musical director and production was managed by teacher, Sarah Searle. Geena Hutton and Caleb Jamieson were also nominated for Best Female and Male Youth performers respectively.

Congratulations also goes to Macy Hart, and Hollie Powderley who were nominated for Best Female Performer also for their roles in Seussical JR.

Geena Hutton was also awarded the John Antony scholarship which she is going to use to help fund her trip to New York to attend the Broadway Dreams Showcase, a position which she has recently been awarded.
