On Wednesday Orewa College Year 8 team 1, Year 7 team 1, Year 8 boys and Year 7 boys teams (accompanied by umpires and coaches) competed in the Annual North Harbour Netball Tournament. It was a good day in terms of the weather and the games played.
Each team played five 25 minute games resulting in a number of wins and losses and the students showed skill and tenacity, especially after a loss. They had to mentally put that game behind them and prepare for the next. All the teams played finals, which they all won. The results overall were:

“The year 7/1 girls netball team played their second tournament of the season on 29 July, winning 3 of their 5 games, finishing 7th overall”.
“It was fun competing in the zone day. We are starting to work better as a team and getting to know each other.”
