Level 3 Outdoor Education Camp

Last week the Level 3 Outdoor Education Students ventured into the bush to attend their first wild camp.

This camp is designed around surviving off the land and living in handmade shelters. Over the last 5 weeks all three classes have been upskilling their survival skills. These skills included flax rope making, making fires from flint, cooking over fire, homemade fishing equipment and many other useful skills. These all came in extremely handy during camp, as they were given very limited resources.

Students experienced sleeping outside in the middle of winter, but not having phones for over 36 hours may have been more of a challenge. Students all successfully completed their camp, walking away with memories of the once in a lifetime experiences.
