Orewa College Music Department entered four bands into this year’s annual KBB festival. The Senior Jazz Band and Junior Jazz Orchestra rocked St Mary’s Church with the Seniors receiving a silver award. Both bands performed extremely well, with Miss Hart and Jordan Green, Year 13, conducting.

The Senior Concert Band was conducted by Mrs Stevens for the last time and they played their best performance. Their first two pieces were sensational and they were awarded a thoroughly deserved silver. Finally, the Symphonic Band performed well and received a standing ovation from our seniors, who demonstrated impeccable Manaaki throughout the day.
