Orewa College had a very special visit last week from a former Japanese International student, Yoshitaka (Yoshi) Shigyo, who came to study at Orewa College in 1992 for several years.
Yoshi came in to visit with his wife and also his host mother from 1992, Joy Parker. Yoshi has stayed in close contact with his host family and visits have gone both ways over the years.
Yoshi says his time at Orewa College was life changing and that he still feels he belongs to our community. He currently lives in Dubai and owns three Hot Air Ballooning companies operating in the Middle East.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Sporting Pathways Programme, designed specifically for aspiring student athletes in Years 9 and 10.
We would like to acknowledge the New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) along with Stables Sports Bar, Couttas Bar & Grill, The Wade Bar & Bistro, The Crown Sports Bar Orewa Beach and Kung Fu Chef Restaurant Orewa.
