Once again, the directors, actors, editors, special effects artists, and scriptwriters all emerged for the house event of the year, the ‘House Film Festival’.
After a few trial years, this event is now fully ingrained as a house event. Students look forward to the opportunity to showcase their filmmaking skills.
One week prior to filming, students were given the brief and started writing a script for a short film. This year's theme was "Blockbuster on a Budget." The movies used were Titanic, Star Wars, Jaws, The Avengers, and Harry Potter.
House teams then had two allocated days to film and edit. Students had to be based on-site and use only resources that were available. They all utilized their time well and managed to deliver five amazing films. Pay attention, you may see some special cameos from staff.
It was great to see such a high level of acting and filmmaking among our students. Well done to all people involved, you all did an amazing job and should be proud of your efforts.
