On Wednesday 7 April, Orewa College Head Prefects, Dylan Blomquist, Eunseo Choi, James Aitken and Michela Exeter, travelled to Takapuna Grammar School to take part in an annual Head Prefect Conference. Their report is below.

At the conference we were able to meet the other Head Prefects in North Auckland. It was nice for us to meet those with similar positions and roles within their school that we have. At the conference we had a chance to get to know one another, problem solve and plan how to overcome some of the biggest problems our schools currently face.

The former Takapuna Head Girl, Pippa Wetzell, came to speak to us about her previous experiences and how she managed both responsibility and relationships. This was a very comforting and inspiring speech that gave us perspective of what life could be like after our Head Prefect roles.

The event was enlightening, positive, helpful and idea filled. It was interesting and helpful to hear about how these other schools operate and tackle problems.
